🌱 My Word for 2025: Growth

Growth—the space between where you are and where you’re meant to be. It’s uncomfortable, messy, and rarely kind in the moment. But that’s the point. Growth doesn’t meet you where it’s easy—it meets you where you’re tested.

For me, growth is found in the no’s that force you to pivot, the closed doors that beg you to question your direction, and the rock-bottom moments that crack you open. Trust me, I’ve been there—on the bathroom floor, tears running, feeling like I’d never understand why everything was falling apart. But here’s what I’ve learned: when the plan falls apart, it’s because there’s something bigger waiting. Growth is what happens when you let go of the fight to stay the same.

Why Embrace Growth?

Because growth is honest. It doesn’t flatter you, it doesn’t hold your hand, and it doesn’t wait for you to feel ready. Growth forces you to confront yourself—the plans you’re clinging to, the comfort zones you’re protecting, and the stories you tell yourself to feel safe.

Looking back, I can see so many times I resisted change:

  • Begged for doors to stay open when I should’ve walked away.

  • Held onto plans that didn’t serve me because I was too scared to start over.

Growth is a lesson in trust: trust that the discomfort, the detours, and the not-yet’s are building something better than you could plan.

2025 is my year to embrace that. To stop resisting. To sit in the hard, uncomfortable spaces and remind myself that the stretch is where the magic happens.
